Kleidung, die atmet

Im Zuge des Projekts Back From the Future of Luxury, mit dem Kooperationspartner Gaggenau, ist Breaze / Kleidung, die atmet, entstanden. Die stetige Erwärmung durch den anhaltenden Klimawandel hat zur Folge, dass es in Zukunft zu extrem hohen Temperaturen weit über 40 Grad Celsius kommt. Um die menschliche Thermoregulation zu unterstützen und den Körper zu kühlen, ist ein modulares Kleidungssystem, bestehend aus drei Teilen entstanden. Die Kleidung aus feiner Merinowolle reagiert mithilfe einer eingearbeiteten Form Gedächtnis Drahts auf die hohen Temperaturen und bildet so Schattenflächen auf der Hautoberfläche sowie Öffnungen für eine verbesserte Luftzirkulation. Luxus wird als eine Verbesserung der Lebensqualität gesehen und bietet Resilienz, Individualität sowie eine hohe Energieeffizienz.

In the course of the project Back From the Future of Luxury with the cooperation partner Gaggenau, Breaze / clothing that breathes was created. The constant warming caused by ongoing climate change means that the future will bring extremely hot temperatures far above 40 degrees Celsius. To support the human thermoregulation and to cool the body a modular clothing system consisting of three parts has been created. The clothing, made of fine merino wool, reacts to the hot temperatures with the help of an incorporated shape memory wire, creating areas of shade on the surface of the skin as well as openings for improved air circulation. Luxury is seen as enhancing the quality of life, offering resilience, individuality as well as high energy efficiency.
