Mitten in Europa befand sich in Calais/Frankreich, bis 2016 der „Dschungel von Calais“, ein Flüchtlingscamp mit mehr als 9000 Menschen mit Fluchterfahrung, um auf eine Möglichkeit zur Weiterreise nach Großbritannien zu warten. Dieses Lager wurde im Oktober 2016 komplett geräumt und offiziell geschlossen. Heute gibt es inoffizielle Lager in Calais. „Crossing Borders“ klärt über die Fluchtsituation zwischen Frankreich und England auf und begleitet die Hilfsorganisation Care4Calais bei der Arbeit und Hilfe für Menschen auf der Flucht sowohl in Folkestone/England, als auch Calais/Frankreich. Das Magazin beinhaltet Fotografien, sowie Interviews, Hintergrundinformationen und persönliche Geschichten.

In the middle of Europe, the "Jungle of Calais" was located in Calais/France until 2016, a refugee camp with more than 9000 refugees to wait for an opportunity to continue their journey to the United Kingdom. This camp was completely cleared and officially closed in October 2016. Today there are unofficial camps in Calais. "Crossing Borders" informs about the refugee situation between France and England and follows the humanitarian organization Care4Calais as they work and help refugees in both Folkestone/England, and Calais/France. The magazine includes photographs, as well as interviews, background information and personal stories.
