Gegenstand dieser Bachelorthesis war die Auseinandersetzung mit der Puppe als Objekt des Unheimlichen und damit ihrer Verkörperung von Gegensätzlichkeiten wie Leben und Tod, Gefügigkeit und Widerspenstigkeit, Aufreiz und Ekel. Erkundet wurde diese sowohl inhaltlich anhand in einer Sammlung zusammengetragener Schriftstücke zum Motiv der Puppe in der klassischen, deutschsprachigen Literatur, als auch in der Materialität des Buchkörpers mit seinem experimentellen Spagat zwischen der Artifizialität gegossener Silikonlettern und der weichen Natürlichkeit von Leinen und Watte.

The subject of this bachelor thesis was the examination of the doll as an object of the uncanny and thus its embodiment of opposites such as life and death, submissiveness and intractability, temptation and disgust. This was explored both, on a collection of texts containing the motif of the doll in classic, German-language literature, as well as in the materiality of the book itself by experimentally balancing the artificiality of cast silicone letters and the soft naturalness of linen and cotton wool.
