Muthesiusprojekt, Malerei und Text in drei Kapiteln

2021 begann sich Linda Ebert mit ihrem Muthesiusprojekt malerisch mit der Imagination einer postapokalyptischen Welt, der Erforschung des dadurch entstandenen Lebensraumes einer Raumstation im Weltall auseinanderzusetzen. 2023 präsentierte sie die entstandenen großformatigen Malereien in Korrespondenz mit einem Text aus drei Kapiteln im Ausstellungsraum sp ce. Die Gemälde setzen sich aus Grund- und Umrissen von Gebäuden, Wahrzeichen und Stadtstrukturen der untergegangenen Zivilisationen auf der Erde zusammen. Schwarz ist in den Arbeiten von essenzieller Bedeutung, es steht für Stille, Klarheit und Neubeginn. Die Malereien und Kurzgeschichten bedingen sich gegenseitig, so fasst die begleitende Publikation Kurzgeschichten zusammen, die vom Leben auf den Raumstationen und den Rückblick auf die zerstörte Erde erzählen. Das Projekt bietet eine Möglichkeit der Auseinandersetzung mit gegenwärtigen Krisen und stellt Fragen, in welcher Welt und auf welche Art und Weise wir leben wollen.

Muthesiusprojekt

In 2021 Linda Ebert began to deal with the imagination of a post-apocalyptic world, the exploration of the resulting habitat of a space station in outer space, in a painterly way with her Muthesius project. In 2023 she presented the resulting large-scale paintings in correspondence with a text of three chapters in the exhibition space sp ce. The paintings are composed of ground plans and outlines of buildings, landmarks and city structures of the lost civilizations on Earth. Black is essential in the works, it stands for silence, clarity and new beginnings. The paintings and short stories are mutually dependent, so the accompanying publication summarizes short stories that tell of life on the space stations and the retrospective of the destroyed Earth. The project offers a way of dealing with current crises and asks questions about the world we want to live in and the way we want to live.
