Skulptur aus Gips, Holz und Styropor, 180 x 50 x 50 cm

Die Arbeit four-sided zeigt vier gestapelte Würfel. Die klaren, geometrischen Formen stehen im Kontrast zu dem Relief aus Gips, welches die Quader umgibt. Die Oberflächenstruktur entsteht zufällig und erst beim Arbeiten, bei dem Eindrücken und Abziehen von Wellpappe im Gips. Die Blöcke wirken massiv, sind jedoch leicht wie Pappe.

Sculpture made of plaster, wood and styrofoam, 180 x 50 x 50 cm

The work four-sided shows four stacked cubes. The clear, geometric shapes contrast with the relief of plaster that surrounds the cubes. The surface structure is created randomly during the process of pressing and peeling off cardboard in the plaster. The blocks appear to be heavy, but are as light as cardboard.
