Urbanes Festival zum Thema nachhaltige Ernährung und Klimawandel

Das Festival soll im Gegensatz zu kommerziell ausgelegten (Street)Food Festivals darauf aufmerksam machen, wie sich unser Essverhalten auf Körper, Lebensraum, soziales Umfeld, aber auch auf den gesamten Planeten und den Klimawandel auswirkt. Diese Macht und Auswirkung wird mit dem Festival nicht nur sichtbar gemacht, sondern können die Besucher*innen diese auch partizipativ untersuchen und Lösungen für Kiel mitgestalten. 
Wie ein Drei-Gänge-Menü wird das Festival in drei Einheiten gegliedert und findet in ausgewählten Orten in Kiel jährlich statt. Um das komplexe Thema den Besucher*innen zu vermitteln, gibt es neben Talks, Workshops und Filmvorführungen verschiedene Festival Stationen, die im Kieler Stadtraum verteilt sind. Einige dieser Stationen bleiben temporär, einige bleiben bestehen und werden über den Festivalzeitraum hinaus nutzbar für alle Kieler*innen gemacht. Dadurch soll die Stadt Kiel resilienter gegenüber ökologischen und ökonomischen Herausforderungen gemacht werden.

Urban festival about sustainable nutrition and climate change

In contrast to commercially designed (street) food festivals, the festival aims to draw attention to how our eating behavior affects our bodies, living space, social environment, but also the entire planet and climate change. The festival will not only make this power and impact visible, but visitors* will also be able to explore it in a participatory way and help create solutions for Kiel. The festival will be divided into three units, like a three-course meal, and will take place annually in selected locations in Kiel and the surrounding area. In order to convey the complex topic to the visitors, there will be talks, workshops and film screenings as well as various festival stations distributed throughout Kiel's urban space. Some of these stations will remain temporary, some will remain and will be made usable for all Kiel residents beyond the festival period. The idea is to make the city of Kiel more resilient to ecological and economic challenges.
