Die Grundlage für meine künstlerischen Arbeiten ist das Unbekannte. Sobald man dieses erforscht hat, hört es auf zu existieren. Während des Erforschens findet ein Erleben statt: eine Reise ins Unbekannte. Zu Fuß laufe ich in der Stadt herum, mal zu einem Zielort, mal ziellos. Meine Aufmerksamkeit liegt auf Ausgrabungsstätten in Rom. Diese sind mit einem Zaun geschützt, dadurch sind diese Orte isoliert. Früher hatten hier Menschen Alltag verbracht. Jetzt lebt hier niemand mehr. So nehme ich die gespiegelte Situation der Zeit wahr, die Vergänglichkeit des Seins. Um zu versuchen, diese Zeit wieder einzufangen, nehme ich als Material Kernseife, da deren Oberfläche der von Marmor ähnelt und ich ihre Wandelbarkeit nutzen kann.

The basis for my artistic work is the unknown. Once you have explored it, it ceases to exist. While exploring, an experience takes place: a journey into the unknown. On foot I walk around the city, sometimes to a destination, sometimes aimlessly. My attention is on excavation sites in Rome. These are protected by a fence, so these places are isolated. People used to spend their daily lives here. Now no one lives here any more. So I perceive the mirrored situation of time, the transience of being. To try to capture this time again, I use curd soap as a material, because its surface is similar to that of marble and I can use its mutability.
